Does anyone know where I can get a standard replacement dashboard for my early Chimaera.

The "veneer" is starting to crack and on the switch/radio panel is has almost peeled off altogether.

I know I could probably do a diy job on it but I was wondering if I might be able to just get a straight replacement to save hassle.

Just tried Wedge Automotive and they say the company they used has gone bust.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Ed

PS I've had a look in the archives but not had much luck.

You want another 'wooden' one' or a metal one?

I'm sure somebody advertised in Sprint recently who makes 'wooden' ones.

A company called Anita Marquetry reckoned they could make one up for me -- didn't in the end use them but they came recommended. Google will find them.

I have similar problems. Just forked out 150 notes for a replacement TVR radio panel - you get the complete metal+veneer fitment. Next problem is working out how much of the dash needs to be removed in order to remove old one and fit the new bits.

For the radio panel, v.easy, take out the stereo and you will find 4 little phillips screws, 2 each side. Undo them and the panel will come out. You need to un-clip the lights and hazard light switch by lifting them slightly. This is of-course if you have the older style dash which I guess you do with a 96'.
hope this helps
cheers
