Firebreathing exhausts

Hello everyone, I havent ever posted anything up here but be sure to expect some exciting questions which id love you guys to answer!! ....First of all if your exhaust produces a meter long flame at gear change is this illegall? And...is it ever possible to make a TVR do this as I think it would perfect a car whcih I already describe as the dogs bolllocks!!! Also technically what does it take to acheive this..rich mix..? i think flames are produced when there is too much fuel going into the cylinders and it doesn't ignite and burns up inside your exhaust instead. i don't imagine it would be too good for your cat though.
