Anybody getting a Wii?
Discussion
I put all thought of getting a Wii out of my head before it was even there:
After the old 8 bit machines, Nintendo has never really done much for me. Sure the N64 was ok, but only if somebody else had stumped up for one. So I didn't expect the the Wii to appeal to me at all.
Now I've seen some advertising for it, I think it looks really good.
The controller alone would be worth it for me - playing games where you have to pump a shotgun before pulling the trigger (though I doubt any games will appear on the unit where you actually simulate shooting stuff) seems like a great idea to me
Am I going soft in the head? Or are other mature PHers thinking of getting a machine I'd always though of as only really being for younger kids?

There will be a game at release where you simulate shooting stuff, Red Steel has shooty bits, they are also releasing a gun adaptor for the Wiimote which will allow you to use it just like a gun.
Zelda and Mario may look like kids games, but dismissing them as such means you'll miss out on some real gems, much the same as ignoring something like Toy Story would in the world of movies.
The gamecube had it's fair share of adult games too, Project Zero and Resident Evil 4 to name but 2, no doubt the Wii will have too.
