156 heater switch light & speaker fault

Hi folks.

The light has gone in my heater switch on the centre
consol. its the one that shows were air is being directed
that incorporates the HRW switch.
Is there a bulb in there that can be replaced and more
importantly how does it come appart?

Also the o.s.f door speaker cuts out intermitantly. I have
removed the door trim and checked the connections on the speaker
and they are all good and clean. Just wondered if there was
a common point were the speaker wires become trapped or broken..?

Cant help with the speaker but with the rotary dial a firm grasp of the outer ring and a good pull will see it come off allowing you access to the lamp.

Are you sure that the bulb has gone? Mine does this quite often....a good hit on the side of the centre console usually gets it working again....no really!

have you checked on the back of the radio? Make sure the connections there are nice and secure. To me it sounds like it's earthing out somewhere, so will be worth checking the loom in and around the door shut
