Bonnet Rods Rattling

The rod that goes to the LHS bonnet catch is rattling ... big time.
I have tracked the cause of it down to the ball joints on the disc that turns under the trim when you turn the knob inside the car.
I've done a search and had a look in the "equivalent parts" sticky but haven't managed to find where these can be sourced.
Anyone know ??

I got a set from Racing Green. About 20 odd quid iirc for set. Bonnet now has no wobble at all even when slightly above the posted limit.

Fraid not JJ. Couldn't even order just one rod (as only one of mine was fooked, had to have a set). There must be another application that the ball joints are from though (it is a TVR after all), it's just a case of finding out where.... sorry I can't help more mate.

Could you not screw the plastic end piece that locates in the rubber grommet on the bonnet bracket outwards to make the said rod effectivly longer thus putting pressure on the ball joint and hopefully stopping the rattling, just a thought really as mine required this technique a bit back.

I'll have a look at the ends in more detail to see exactly what they are like.
I'll also try more adjustment to see if I can sort the rattle that way, I haven't spent too long at it so far.
I'll also have a look through the RS and Farnell books in the office next week, perhaps I'll find them there.
