[sgt howie]

what age vehicles do not require seatbelts??

i.e. before what date of registration

[vonhosen]

For cars those registered before 1/1/65

[Andrew Noakes]

Front seat lap belts - 1 September 1965
Front seat three-point belts - 31 March 1981
Rear seat belts - 31 March 1987

[Dwight VanDriver]

Von's date Andrew is for fitting of anchorage points (reg 46 Con and use)

Rge 47 states vehicle first used BEFORE 1.4.1981 shall be equipped with body restraining belt so its pre 1.1.65.
