I've got sky so,

how does bittorent work. I mean in simple terms,
when you visit......TorrentReactor.Net - The most active torrents on the web

for example and think
'hmmn, wouldn't mind watching twin peaks again'

I'll download that and watch it.

What do I need to do to simply watch something on PC

On todays show we'll be covering how to smash copyright into tiny bits. For this make you will need: a computer; a broadband internet connection; a bittorrent client, files that end in .torrent, a Skull n' Crossbones flag and some sticky back plastic.

Download your favorite BitTorrent client, here on Blue Peter we recommend uTorrent or Azureus, download it and install it. You might need to ask your parents for help on this bit.

Next visit the place where you can download your .torrent files; this can be from any number of places on the internet. torrentspy and piratebay are two of the most well known places for these things.
Open the .torrent file with the BitTorrent client. It might ask you where you'd like to save the file, just point it at a directory on your computer and click 'Ok' if it does.

Now, the magic happens. Magic can take several days to work depending on the number of Seeders, the more seeders the better.

Now, whilst the magic is happening use the sticky back plastic to mount the the flag on to your computer and fashion yourself a quick eye patch. Argh.

Dear blue& crossbones

My young Richard, followed your helpful advice and clogged up his
computing set
which for some reason went the PH slowness-esque,
forcing us to completely stop downloads-remove all traces of bittorentshite,
smack his legs really hard
& send him to bed early in floods of tears
thank you so much Ted Noakes

We here on Blue Peter are sorry to hear about your problems with our Copyright breaking display; upon further investigation we've discovered that your computer is, in fact, a Speak n' Spell. Unfortunately Tomytronic never designed this to work on-line and we're amazed it has connected to the internet.
