Exhaust Fumes

Been out for a spin in the cerb today - and i think i can smell exhaust fumes in the car. I drove home with the windows open, but could still smell it on my clothes when i got in. I'm not sure if having the hot air fan on made it worse.

The cars got cat bypass's fitted, is it possible that these are leaking ?? (Although doesnt sound like its blowing)

Any suggestions what to check ? I dont fancy taking mr daughter in the car while it doing this.

Mine smelt fumey for 9 months - eventually got it checked out. Now having engine rebuild! Worth checking the plugs for fouling.

Smells like leaky exhaust somewhere. I used to have a golf that did it...
There's no obvious points to check ? I guess if the cat bypass was leaking it would be able to come up through the gear stick surround ??

Possible manifold fracture..They used to snap for a pass time.
Or one or several of the manifold bolts have gone for a walk.

Thanks - i'm gonna get it on a ramp and check the decats - they were recently swapped for the MOT before i got it from the dealer, so have been off / on / off recently.

I'll check the manifold if they dont seem to be the cause....

(smells aside , i still love it !)
