Parking Ticket Question
Discussion
Lambeth council, Yellow line, I parked there at 6.20pm as I thought the restriction finished at 6.30pm, got a ticket 7 minutes later. When I checked the car I realised a fresh sign had been installed along the street with the restriction finishing at 7pm, whereas the nearest other sign was 6.30pm around the corner that I normally park beside. So I was in the wrong, according to the sign.
But on my ticket is says my car is black, when it is blue. Is that grounds for an invalid ticket?

Nope. Not a material fact, especially as its dark at 6.20. Doesnt hurt if you try on the confusing signeage angle though - it at least makes the horrors work for a living.

Check the yellow line.... If it's broken at any point along it's run or not correctly terminated with a T-bar it's unenforceable.
Decision:
Minier v Camden
PATAS Case No: 2033022636a (2003/4)
No T Bar
Law does not concern itself with triffles.
Yellow line clearly defined restriction and ended adjacent to white line of a parking bay.
Held: Defect was so immaterial and so minor that could not be relied upon to be unlawful
