we just got back from watching the rally in cardiff and was very impressed with the VXR display of donut-ing 6L Monaros. (3 black, 1 red).

as none were registered it crossed my mind if these might be some of the £26,995 'specials' - if not then what happens to the show cars which were being cained?

Will it really matter though? Anyone that buys the Monaro on the special price is still going to recieve a 3 year warranty. I might prefer mine slightly loosened uplaugh

Years ago my sister used to work for a car rental firm (cryptic clue = non suburb & suburb) when she was a student at uni. The cars were delivered and pdi'd onsite. Then they were taken out for a test drive. Apparently there was also two supervisors that had mastered the art of high speed parallel parking too scratchchin

In their relatively small enclosure it was customary to bounce the rev counter of the limiter in the the first two gears.. and these cars were brand new eek

These days it is common practice for brand new cars off the production line to be ran to limiter in first and second!!! as part of test. Don't forget limiter is there to protect the engine and as long as oil has got to the extremities it should be no problem (modern J engines anyway!)

this was donuts including a comp for how many in a minute

bouncing a new car off the rev limiter and stressing the drivetrain on a new car like this can not be good

They are not new, they have been used at various displays, the motorshow, MPH etc. I imagine they will be used for track stuff as well. The 26995 cars are delivery mileage and have not been used for any display work.

good news, makes them an absolute bargain.

was just concerned that delivery mileage / donuts = many donuts
