Hey cotty, nice car. I see you used to race Club100 karts, i do too in the BUKC

Ever thought about tracking it? You must miss getting on track, even in those little karts it's a buzz eh!

Rob.

I knocked the karting on the head over 2 years ago, I do a bit here and there but if your not doing it constantly your body gets out of practice

Track days? Im too scared of bending it, but im tempted to do a track slag a bit like Buttmonky's

That cabrio is lovely, and the touring is stunning! I'd love to have a go at racing that - what are the costs like, comparable to Stock Hatch?

Cheers,
Rob.

Costs are pretty low really for a racing series. Race entrance fees circa £160 - £190 per race, good circuits - Brands, Snett, Oulton etc etc. We get good deal on Toyo R888's as a control tyre and unless you dent it, parts and servicing are pretty cheap.

I've had great fun and have started to build up a '92J convertible for next years PBMWC series.

I'm trying to persuade Cotty to get another E30 trackslag and join in....

scratchchin must admit it does look a lot of fun, I take it you trailer you car to races.

I'll post some photos up in the next day or so. Late model 325i auto in bright metallic green but undergoing engine swop for the required 320 lump and manual box. I'm a bit wary as it rained at almost every race this year.....

Yes I do trailer it to races but that's only because its uncomfortable to drive a long way in it ever since I dropped in to 45mm clearance. It's still MOT / Tax'd (SORN at the mo) so is ok for the road. Quite a few of the PBMWC lads drive their cars to the races - even the races in France......

You sure thats a 45mm drop?

My touring is running 60/40mm drop (it has settled a little since pics taken) but yours looks lower although yours might be under cornering load in the middle pic

this is my 318is with the 16v 4-banger, still quite a rare machine, I spotted it at the side of the road for £300, passed mot with only a new shock needed, got a bargain. Although have to say not as stable or as fast as my 190 Cosworth
