My cerbie has the standard 16" wheels, and is currently fitted with Bridgestones. These now need replacing, and I am considering getting Toyos instead. Question is.....should I ask for exactly the same as the Bridgestones (ie 255/45R16 fronts, 245/45R16 rears)when ordering the Toyos? I only ask because having seen some other makes of tyres on the 16" Cerb wheels, they sometimes look to be a different profile.
(See...told you it was a dumb question...!)

Cheers,

Neil

The usual reason for changing the size is when you can't get exactly the size you want in a different brand. BTW those front sizes don't look right, I have a suspicion they may be 15" rims and very unlikely to be bigger than 225.

Cheers,
Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)

put toyos on the cerb (on 16" rims) and used same size/profile as bridgestones. However, the toyos 'look' a higher profile, especially on the rear...look almost like balloon tyres! Wear far better than Bridgestones though, and cheaper too so can put up with the 'high profile' look.

Stick with the same sizes as before and BTW the only dumb question is the one you do NOT ask!

Thanks for the advice folks. I didn't realise that Toyos had that 'high profile' look....not sure I'm keen on that.

Cheers,

Neil
