Thats where a message will come up if its going to.

Sounds pukka but odd.

WGA, it's been known to go off on one for seemingly random reasons.
Can't find them at the momment. But do a google for "Disable WGA" and you'll get easyish to follow instructions to kill it.

I think there have been probs in the past with genuine software getting reported as pirated copies..

There are ways round it I think, but the only problems that should cause you is one or two if you try and download updates directly from Microsoft..

It might never appear again from now on..?
If it is genuine, and it keeps reappearing, then get in touch with PC World assuming the laptop hasn't been messed with and still has it's original version of Windows on it that is..!

would not hurt to press print screen button and then goto a paint package and press ctrl & V ie paste the screen grab from clipboard to the paint program, u can then save or print etc....

take laptop to pcworld and ask them to verify the copy they installed is legal

would not recommend downloading windows updates that are not from microsoft

This happened on my daughter's laptop (which is fully legal) a couple of weeks ago. The message was there one day but gone the next and has never reappeared.
I wonder if it was due to some automatic windows update getting itself in a tizzy?
