As some on here will know i am building a race car for the tuscan challenge series. I now have the car in the workshop getting ready for the build.
I have a couple of questions......(just looking for some opinions)
What suspension setup will be best suited??i.e make, type etc. The car will be track only.
Wheres the best place to get the cage built??(rollcentre)??
rose joints or not.....??
Any wieght saving ideas?? (never know may think of somthing i havent!)

Welcome to the nut house!!!!! I'm building a new car this year too having raced a turbo taz for a couple of seasons (now for sale, plug plug).
I'd recommend rollcentre for the cage, they've literally just finished my T350 and I'll be picking it up in the next day or so. As for suspension you can rose joint or a combi of rose joint and poly bush which is what we are doing. Dampers, I think most guys run Nitron or Penske.
As for weight saving, remove anything you don't need and where possible use MSA approved polycarbonate for the windows. Remember you'll need a mechanical door opener too, not an electrical one.

if your doing a cerb that curve won't be steep it'll be vertical! i'd recommend robinson race cars for a cage he's done all mine but he is very busy your profile says your in kent your welcome to pop down if you need idea's

I know it all comes down to personal choice but I can fully recomend Steve Gugleimi in Daventry, www.scaredstifff.com
He was TVR Tuscan Champion, two or three times, and has a very sucessful race team in Daventry, he is also a bloody nice chap and will help you out.
Take a look and see what you think, I know him 'cos he looked after my Cerbera,

Not Good enough ones!!!!! Making do with a moderate size garage at my place and a large workshop at my grandparents. What i need is a lift! Tools and equipment i have just not enough covered space!

I don't mind giving a helping hand if you need one. And I have a lift, and more than a few tools just down the road from you if you need it. Problem would be transporting the car to me when you want to spend a weekend underneath. I assume fairly early on in this endeavour you will need to buy a car trailer of some sort?

Seconded, it's a really good idea to see a car that's already been built, seeing as many of the likley problems well in advance is crucial if you want to keep on top of costs. I went to see Warren at Topcats a couple of weeks ago to have a look at their Sagaris racer (the same packing issues as the T350) and it was really helpful to discuss many aspects of the build.
