Ok,OK I give up. I've looked and can find the place to switch off the damn 'click' from the speakers everytime you click a link in IE7 - I must have found it before because it didn't do it before my software refresh - Help! banghead

Control Panel - Sounds and Audio Devices - Sounds.

Scroll down to 'Windows Explorer' and change / remove the sound for 'Start Navigation'

I tend to prefer start -> control panel -> add/remove programs -> uninstall, with IE7

That would be funny if every IE didn't do the same.

I've just been prompted that IE7 is ready to be downloaded. Is it really bad enough not to download it or is there something good about it?

Try it but be warned some people have had massive problems uninstalling it.

Go for it and if you don't like it, uninstall it and if you have problems doing that use FireFox 2.0 which is my personal favourite. As some of you people will know I have defended Microsoft on numerous occassions so I am not a negative person when it comes to Microsoft products.

I don't personally think it is as good as Firefox 2.0 but hey thats just my opinion. I do prefer outlook 2003 though against thunderbird.

I've been running it on beta for ages, reason I had the issue was because I had a new windows install done, other than thatit's been fine, no problems, quite a good tool.

Well it's no worse than IE6. But it's not as good as firefox, by about the same distance as firefox isn't as good as opera.
