From a brief search of manufacturers via Google they all like to state the maximum resolution that their graphics cards support. However my interest is in digital projection of photographs. At the moment the best projectors at reasonably affordable prices such as the Canon seem to natively support SXGA+ (1400x1050) rather than true UXGA.

As the projector is the limiting factor I would need to tailor the output resolution of the graphics card to match. However I can't find a card that says it supports 1400x1050, and my card goes in a jump from 1360x1024 to 1600x1200 without the option of the resolution I want. Does anyone know of any cards that support 1400x1050 ?

Stupid question, but when connected to the computer does the option appear?

Before you buy a new card you might want to try PowerStrip. It can create custom resolutions on supported cards: www.entechtaiwan.net/util/ps.shtm
