All,

Karen and I are in need of a bit of help. We have arranged an evening's racing for the Surrey TVRCC at East Molesey Scalextric Club on April 2nd.

Currently we're somewhat below the required number of racers for the event. We have 5 folks signed up, but need 12 to make it a goer.

Cost is a bargain at £5 a head. Racing starts at 7:30pm, so we're arriving around 7:15pm for the briefing. Refreshments available on site. It would be a shame to have to cancel.

If any of you fancy re-living your mis-spent youth, mail me through my PH profile, or reply to this thread.

Many Thanks,

Steve & Karen.

I am having an action man night.
If anyone has any original AM1's then please do come along. We have a few grip hands (AM2s) and even an eagle eyes. We also have a tank. But we are really in need of some big guns. It will be great fun.

My brother had an action man helicopter.....but i pushed it off the chest-of-drawers and broke it in a huff cos he wouldn't let me play with it......so i won't be there.

Gazzab,
Mrs T here. Action man had a brief affair with Sindy(in my dolls house) but they broke up as he looked shifty . So are you coming to race or not!.

When I weret kid...We went round a mates house and stuffed his Action Man tank full of old newspaper, stuffed him in the top and set fire to it, pushing it round the garden until it got too hot so we ran it in to the fish pond. Result?
Pi**ed off fish
Pi**ed off Mates parents
Pi**ed off Mate, because while it was fun at the time - he didn't have an Action Man anymore.

Thanks to those that attended, you made what turned out to be a great evening. To those who couldn't make it, you missed out big time! I hope to see you at the next one in May, when Ian will defend his trophy. I'll pop some piccies on fotango later.

Steve.

Edited to say: Photos much later, I'm off route planning for the weekends Surrey Sunday after work with PHer ncs.

It was an excellent night, great fun and a good social occasion. My other half enjoyed it as well, bouncing up and down like a kid driving the cars round a big six lane track.

I am definitly looking forward to the next one, which I believe is May 7th.
