Has anyone actually got one of these?

Everywhere I look is out of stock and Dabs, the only place to have them at a keen price won't have any for over 4 weeks!

I thought they came out about 6 weeks ago. Have they been a lot more popular than Logitech expected or have their been supply problems?

It's looking like I may have to change my list to Santa

I ordered one from Dabs in late November when they stated delivery as '2 to 3 days' which as you say has now turned into 'more than 4 weeks' rolleyes I think Logitech underestimated the numbers, particularly bringing it out quite near Chrstimas.
There might be a few about, but they'll likely be charging the full retail price of £200ish which I'll not be paying just so I can have a big box to unwrap on Christmas day!

I've got one but it took a lot of effort.

First, Logitech "lost" my order after 4 weeks, and suggested I cancel and re-order with them. Well, I cancelled...

Then I spent another 4 weeks trying to get one from a guy off ebay - it took 4 phone calls and being persistently told that "something had gone wrong" with my order. I had to get quite firm with him in the end, and it eventually turned up.

On the plus side, it's a very good wheel

I managed to get one just after release - it really is very good, unlike my driving on GTL!

Result

The gf had the novel idea of looking on the logitech website. Just checked again and the order has been shipped

I'd given up checking on there as it was always on pre-order.

Now I just need that head movement tracking thing to go with it.

(Oh and Logitech as an extra special Xmas present can you make an adaptor/driver so it will work with the Xbox in time for Forza 2)

I'm desparate for one but don't know what to do:
1) Buy from dabs.com, save £50 but wait forever

2) Buy direct from Logitech, pay £200 but get in a few days

What would you do?
(At the moment i'm thinking of doing option 2)

A comprimise on price - more than Dabs, but less than Logitech... www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=324740 be quick though, only 10 in stock!
I'd rather pay less, so have one on back order from the UK supplier for £153 delivered - hopefully in early January...

I have got one of the Logitech 900 degree wheels for GT4. What's the big hoo-haa with the G25...?

I got the whole lot delivered for under fifty quid. Works great. 200 sheets on a wheel is a lot. I plan on getting a race chair and frame to mount my stuff onto - anyone any recommendations...?

It arrived today. I've had it out of the box and it certainly seems a well made piece of kit. I'm not allowed to play with it yet though as it's an Xmas pressie

Only problem is it's got a German power adaptor on it. Not a massive problem for me as I used to live there and have adaptors but it's something to look out for if you are buying direct.

Leather wrapped steering wheel, a clutch pedal (with gas reak of course), "simulator grade" (logitech webiste quote) force feed back, PC AND PS2 compatability, and a six-speed gated transmission box.

some pics...

shift box

pedals (stainless steel)

$300 is a lot to pay for a wheel though...
and it'd be tough to set up in my basement blah

this new g25 sure does sound real fresh. its nice seeing the clutch/gearbox feature being put in but hows compatability and useability for most of the games out nowadays fare?

I have no idea :P

And while yes i might as well have been a buest buy sales person there

i doubt that gated trasmission will to sh** on most games (like the nike car on GT4, it's got 8 gears you would HAVE to do sequential)

i'm sure that in the coming months/years it will become a decent buy but i woudn't get it right now

it would be SERIOUSLY awsome to have a nice computer with a hyper-realistic racing sim that used the gated 6 speed box

O well we can dream...

Well the gated shifter/clutch is aimed more at PC sims, of which there are several good ones that support it already (GPL, GTR, GTL, rFactor)

I heard that NFS Carbon for the PS2 supports it.
