on a range rover for a while. Same pattern by the look of it, and they are totally awesome!

Bluespanner.

Yep basically the same pattern.

I have ordered a set of 37"-13 r16 boggers hehe

Should be with me within a month cool

There were a few vehicles at the baskill invite only challenge event we did a couple of weeks ago competing on them and they semed to be the best tyre on the event (apart from maybe side slope stability)

pics from the event are here...

looking forward to them arriving!!!

Itsallyellow,

Thats interesting to hear.

I spent quite a lot of time researching tyres and the general opinion is that boggers are better in deep mud than simex's. As you say they are also available in better sizes.

There were 2 wranglers at the event mentioned in my previous post that were both very similar, lifted, lockers, front and rear winches etc and on one very wet uphill section teh one on boggers managed to stop, re position and start off again while the simex shod one had to be winched out the whole way.

Just from personal experience. When i was competing a year or so ago i was running both tyres. One set are 35/11.50 simex the other 37/13 boggers. The simex had more grip in every way. the only time the boggers really helped where when the mud was particuly deep due to the extra ground clearence. Also i struggled to get enough steering lock with the boggers.

Thanks for the reply Mike,

It will be interesting to see what they are like. I suppose every vehicle will respond differnetly to what ever is fitted.

I currently just use BFG Mts so either would in most cirumstances be a big improvement!

I am hoping I wont have a problem with lock as I am using disco 2 axles which are wider.

What wheels do you run the boggers on?

Mike,

Possibly, although I dont think 15" wheels will fit over disco 2 brakes so that could cause a problem for me. (that and the fact that I have just bought a set!) I do know someone else who may be interested though. What sort of money are you looking for?
