Car back at last....but small problem

I got the car back yesterday after a very long 3 months without it while i tried to fight the warranty company to pay for a new/different engine. which i paid for in the end

Anyways when i was driving home and using low revs 1k to 2.5k there seemed to be a big flat spot which was getting worse the longer i drove it, if i put my foot down heavier on the pedal then the car picked up and when it got over 3k revs it went like it should eg a bat outta hell. Its as if theres a bit of play in the throttle cable, i dont wanna have to drive all the way back to the garage that fited the engine if its a 5 min fix and risk it getting worse!

Was scary comming home when i was going around corners and roundabouts just below the 3k mark and then all of a sudden the power would kick in and the back end would try and overtake the front lol

Last thing is if i put it in gear and started to pull away the revs seemed to jump up and down between 1 and 1.5k revs and when in third gear doing 30ish the car kanagrooed alot if i tried to put my foot down a bit

So any ideas???

If it is then unlikely both. If you unplug one of them at a time then the ECU will substitute the value from the one still connected. Try it and see if the idling smooths out.

ok daft question time......how would one go about disconnecting them?

Sounds like throttle pots or a duff coil pack.Or the wiring running to the pots and the packs.

I had exactly the same symptoms shortly after I got my Cerb.
Austecs diagnosed that my throttle pots on one side had come loose.

I had this when I first bought the car, the throttle was more like an "on/off" switch.

Mine turned out to be the throttle cable.

same type of behaviour on mine was a split coil pack that had let in water
