banghead

Mine now says "In Transit" but still ETA 9th Decconfused

Infact it actually says 7pm on the 7th, "departure scan" at the National Hub. Not quite sure what that means...

John Lewis should be a good bet to get one (provided you get there early) as they don't do pre-ordering of any kind. Will post up here when my Woolworths one arrives later on this morning.

Got mine from John Lewis in Reading this morning!!

I only made the decision to get one on Wednesday, did my research as to where would have one and made sure I was one of the few. JL weren't doing pre-orders so just made sure I was there fairly early. Got there ar 6:50.

I was 7th in line and they had a stock of 10. A Manager gave the first 10 of us a ticket just after 8 so we could collect it at 9. Have to say though, plenty of unhappy women (assuming mothers under pressure from kids/husbands) because they didn't think there would be a queue(!?) and just turned up at 9.

Now have to sit through an entire work day, christmas party tonight and inevitable hangover tmw before getting some Wii action!!

Those of you who pre-ordered - hope you get it soon and don't get messed around by suppliers.

Well mine turned up at about 10 this morning at work. Have opened it up and it really is tiny. It's now sat on my desk taunting me, made even worse as i've vowed not to open it til Christmas. Gonna hand it off to my dad later before I get tempted to start playing on it.

How much are they retailing at?

As said in previous posts on this topic Nintendo tend to be good with the stocking so if you can not get one before Xmas (only 2 weeks) then you will surely get one before long.

What are the best launch titles?

Best launch titles look to be Zelda (natch!) Rayman: Raving Rabbids and Monkey Ball both look to be good party games too. Madden football looks to be like a good fun take on American football, using the wiimote to do all the gestures rather than the normal button pushes.

Then in the new year you've got WarioWare which looks brilliant.

Console was £179, Nunchuk controller (£15.95) and 2000 Wii Points (£14.95) all came to £209.90.

Due to stock levels JL offered a choice of Rayman or Red Steel for games or the Nunchuk controller. I've ordered Zelda and Red Steel from Amazon and they're guaranteed delivery for 1pm tmw (I have an xmas party tonight so I'm not losing much time in that sense).

Wasn't totally sure to start with myself!!
But copied from some website...

"Wii Points for downloading extra features and content, including the greatest games from the NES, Super NES, N64, Sega Megadrive and NEC TurboGrafx video game consoles"

Only £15 so I thought 'why not'?

However, I don't know how many points things 'cost'. All remains to be seen.

Will they have GOLDENEYE?

Dear god I love that game. Fired the old N64 up a couple of weeks ago just to play GOLDENEYE with 3 mates.

Still not sure about that, as Rare is owned by Microsoft now and as it also uses the Bond license (which I think EA has the rights to now) it's still up in the air as to whether it will appear or not.

*Smug*.

Had a friend in the know pick my Wii and two others up from an unnammed Wii stockist when he did some work for them on Wenesday.

It is great great party fun, so great infact that even the girlfriend spent 2 hours on it last night!!!!! the controller is a work of genius!

I am trying to find an extra controller and nunchuck though, but they are like rocking horse shite.

Here is a vid of me and a mate boxing on Wednesday night:

Sadly not

-Nintendo published it
-Rare developed it (now owned by Microsoft)
-Activision currently owned the rights.

Legal minefield
