Hats off to Austec!!!!

Austec are exceptionally busy right now, but I must say a big thank you to Paul and his team for an exceptional turnaround on getting my car sorted out so quick.

Alternator is screwed, AA confirmed no output from Alternator. AA will not recover to Austec as the are not local to me, bugger. Need the car as its my work car.

Popped over to them on Friday last week and they give a loan car to have so I can back and forward to work, then on Tuesday afternoon come and collect my car on the low loader.

Car is done today, so I can collect tomorrow. Alternator all referbed, and done, fitted etc.

Now, 3 day's you say is not a quick turnaround, but considering how busy he is right now, and the work he has, I am mightly impressed.

You will see from my posts, I dont usually go out of my way to start a 'Praise post' but on this occasion, I think it is in order.

my engine would be up and running and in the car by now if it wasnt for the previous tuner giving me wrong pistons, and then giving me the wrong pistons AGAIN! an effective 18:1 compression ratio and no dish section on the pistons, damn it.

Mine has been gone for two weeks now for a power steering pump hopefuly only another week now
only had it four weeks in total and only done 300 miles myself so well sad. Its not at Austec by the way.

saw your lump today and said pistons , a tad high compression for NA engine let alone a blown one. Very impressed with the revised one they've been making as a template.

yup, pauls been an absolute star, no tuner would take on a project in such a mess from another tuner, but pauls been good about it, though I think its getting to him with all these delays caused by us waiting for our pistons from the last tuner.

This time, he's just going to go ahead and get a new set made up to the correct spec, but looks like I'll be waiting till feb until i get my new set.

Maybe an 18:1 cr is good for a diesel AJP?

Saw your car y'day R4W something number plate. What was it having done, I noticed short induction kit and the airboxes where being put back on?.
