Hi,
Just wondered whether anybody else has probs getting to www.nobleforums.com/.

It works fine from my work machine, but not my home machine. Just trying to work out if it is my machine or it doesn't like ie7 or something else.
Cheers,
Rob.

It is almost always working fine, so long as I use IE6 or IE7. AOL has a lot of issues with it.

That's strange, I've heard that in the past few days.

Try without the www. Does that change things?

Ok I think I know what is wrong. The website has two DNS entries 207.158.28.100 and 207.158.28.101 listed for www.nobleforums.com. It seems to work when you hit the 207.158.28.101 but not 100 Address. My guess is that they either have a spurious DNS entry or it is a basic load balancing set up and the second web server is not behaving itself. I have added a host entry to force it to go to the 101 address on my machine (seems to be working but not sure of the resolve order of XP) and mailed them with my thoughts.
Joust - sound sensible, it's a while since I was involved in this sort of thing.
Rob.

www.nobleforums.com internet address = 207.158.28.100
www.nobleforums.com internet address = 207.158.28.101

It works the other way around for me:-

When I try "telnet ipaddress 80" no connection is established to .100 but for .101 it works fine.
Both addresses are ping-able.

Hope that helps Gabe.
