You're right!

I have IE7 and it makes it appear that some of your words are spelt incorrectly, some letters are missing and the apostrophes have been deleted... in fact it makes you appear to have a single figure intelligence quotient.

Get in touch with Microsoft and ask if you can go back to IE6 or if they could send a copy of the file "grammarforretards.exe"

edited to remove the long words.

rofl Alternatively. Switch off the computer. Pack it up in the original packaging and take it back to the shop... rofl

Nope, you're right - it's rubbish.

Get Firefox which has a built-in spell checker (or a Macintosh, with its system-wide spell checker).

Computer bias is absurd. I am typing this in Firefox on my Mac because Safari on the Mac is rubbish. I rather like IE7.

In some respects it's a good point. IE7 (and WMP11 that seems to come along for the ride on occasion) have radically different defaults than the previous versions, even through, in the case of IE7 it still uses the default system theme. Whilst I'm sure this way is a better designed and more 'intuitive' interface for new commers... I actually find them both nearly unusable due to not wanting to have to relearn how a simple web browser works.

I would actually say that Microsoft have made a bit of a booboo on this as I can see the help desk phones at ISP's and IT departments going nuts because their browser and media player have changed. I think it would have been better if the two programs has looked similar to IE6 / WMP10 and had the option to go with the new swish interface.

I must have a different version of IE7 to everyone else because with mine to go to a web page you type the address in to the address bit (same as before), the navigation buttons still go back, forward, to my homepage, etc (as before). It still has my previous history and favourites, and it installed and has worked faultlessly.

As far as I can tell only the tabs bit is new (which I got used to from Opera and kind of like) and is an improvement in my mind.

Perhaps I am just the lucky one?
