3R ride height

Can anyone tell me what the ride height of an M12 GTO 3R should be please (factory setting)? After a VERY expensive 36 month service the headlamps are now pointing way too low - the car had its geometry reset but they didn't bother to check the lights. Needless to say I am very dissapointed (read - effing pi55ed off).

I need to know the height of each corner measured, say, at the extreme tips of the sills to the ground or from the top of wheel arches to the ground.

The heights are all over the place, but I think they aim for 110mm.

That's about right on mine, Martin !!! NSF and OSR are about the same but OSF is 12, yes 12mm lower and NSR is up about 12mm too.

Ta. Any idea how to adjust them so that they are.....

1. the same height all round and
2. the weight distribution is even between left and right.

It would be easy to jack up the OSF to make the car level but this might just load up that wheel and cock up the handling. Needless to say, being down here in the Channel Islands, the nearest dealer is a £300 ferry ride away.

Rear- set springs from machined edge at of top the threads to the top of the spanner nut 1"

Front height from chassis to ground at wheel centreline 5"

Rear height from chassis to ground at wheel centreline 5 1/2"

Thanks. I'll try that as a starting point and see how the car sits, then tweak gently and evenly on each side from there.

Can you explain please. Not sure what you mean. As far as I know the car is standard other than a few Noblemods embelishments.

I have no idea. It was pulling slightly to the right and had been lowered 1/2" when I took it in. I asked them to raise it up to standard + 5mm and reset the geo.

i guess they have raised each side a number of turns and probably not corner weighted it

Vegantune. Richard was supposed to have called me back to sort it out about a week ago. I've tried emailing and ringing but so far no joy Disappointing as they usually so such a fantastic (if rather expensive) job!

I think you need to measure from the chassis rather than the clams. As gadge said, it may be set up to have equal weight at each corner rather than set up to be level with no one in it.

Now you mention it he asked me how much I weigh so he could set it up to be neutral (mostly driven with just me in it)

Out of interest, are you talking about the standard 3R shocks (Bilstein I think?), or do you have Nitrons fitted?
