Potential issues with 4.3 Griff K718 ODM?

Hello,

I am interested in an English Griffith, which was quite affordable to my surprise. I know it's a bit of a risk buying such a car on a tight budget. On the other hand you only live once and I always longed for a Griffith. My question is if anybody on this forum is familar with a 4.3 Griffith with license plate K718 ODM? I looked the plate up, but could only find that it had 7 previous owners.

Problem is that its not in the UK anymore, but in the Netherlands. And of all places exactly where I live. It's as if it came looking for me!

The DVLA will give you a list of the previous owners (plural). All you need is a 'good reason'. Try writing to the DVLA stating your interest in the car, with a letter from the present owner giving their consent. Once you have previous owners' details, you can contact them for their experiences. Alternatively, ask the vendor for the previous owner's (singular) details and contact them.

Get an HPI check done on it (I assume you can do that if it's still registered in the UK).

Thanks for the kind replies. Monday a friend of mine who owns a specialist garage will check it. I am biased since I heard the sound and very briefly drove it. Problem is that I can not really afford it at this moment. Somehow the timing with these things is always bad. In any case I am very happy that I found this forum with enthusiast owners.
