Assuming corrected figure with run downs and the ABS chip fooled so it can go to 8,000 on the right fuel / ignition / vanos map (not sure if anyone can actually do this, mucho bullshit spoken by dyno operaters that they can, only to find they in fact can not...)

342bhp (flywheel equivalent)

Don't the M cars electronics prevent accurate rolling road readings? Might be an urban myth...

Oh! It was a CSL that happened to, to be fair. Bloody thing. I took it to 3 'experts', all of which professed to be able to run it to 8,000 rpm and all of the failed... Still made 347 at 6,250 though.

The BHP ain't far off; what's the torque in Nm? Was it run in or brand new?

Charlie - whens the next PH RR day? I may come and have a run...

Jan.. thread running in general Gassing..

Despite what is stated in various articles, BMW only claim 338bhp for the Z4m coupe i believe.

Totally bloody wrong then.... hehe

I did read a Z3M rolling road report in BMWCar magazine a while ago - most struggled to get close to the mark and many with very low miles were off by quite a bit. Even the ones with small modifications like changed air filters / boxes and sports exhausts struggled to get to the standard figures. I will see if I can find the magazine in a bit!

I guess the new ones are bang on then....

Max output (bhp/rpm) 343/7900
Max torque (Nm/rpm) 365/4900 (Which is 269.3 Lb-Ft)

Almost spot on - pretty good for a new car just run in!

Done an M5 yet? Rumour has it (and of course I want to believe this) that they all make more than the 501/507 bhp claim.
