I'd love to see who's in the bin, and poke them with a stick 
And I'd love to have an interface where I can program filters for general PH viewing and alerts like "Alert me when five threads get locked with an hour and y posts in a thread where x has contributed more than two posts to"

I tend to not read or if it's someone who's a regular poster of rubbish and is ruining a serious or good thread by thinking they are funny I tend to delete their contribution and tell them to grow up.
Now that would be cool. A nemesis list, with an option to filter out threads posted to by one of your nemisis's. (Is that a word?!) Mind you some people just have to have their (usually peurile and knob related) opinion on pretty much everything, and would probably delight in posting literally on evrything just to make life difficult for everyone else.
On second thoughs, it wouldn't work would it.

Needn't be too bad. All you need is a table - entries created by a trigger on the "post" table - that summarises by thread who has posted on it. Sure it would work the servers some more. But doable...
You also only need to record who has posted on a thread if they're on anyone's "shit list".
I don't want to strip out an individual's posts. I want to ignore any thread that an individual has posted on...

Exactly. So if Ted was bored of me whining and had set his "Ignore" list to include me then this post would seal this thread's fate and it wouldn't turn up in his views any more!
