Guys and Gals,

I know this kinda thing has no doubt been discussed many times and i've searched through the forums and read all the write ups. Bottom line is this. I wanna get a camera detector for the motor. I'm not really that interested in a laser jammer because of the hassle the BiB give you if they cant get a reading, and have to confess the thought of GPS is very appealing. I'm not overly loaded, so money no object doesn't really apply either.
I know you guys use a selection and could really use some advice.

Not that I ever speed you understand

Look in the reviews section on this site - a number of devices have been rated by PHers. I guess you get there by from the Speeding section.

I know Ted doesn't approve of 'naming and shaming', so I'll have to leave you to interpret the clues:

When I got my Tuscan in January I bought a GPS unit with radar attachment and it's been nothing but trouble and I'm looking at sending the whole lot back and asking for my money back. Since I bought it, it's needed a two new sets of cables, a new clip to hold it in place and the actual unit has needed to go back twice for repairs (it is still at the manufacturer's now despite being promised on several occasions that it would be sent back to me for next day delivery on the days I've called). The radar detector has NEVER worked.

It's a new model with a big LCD screen, which shows all kinds of stuff including a mini-map showing cameras in the area. The previous system the company made was generally regarded as pretty good, and this new version looked the dog's nads, which is why I went for it. But it seems they've taken the Microsoft approach and made early adopters pay for beta testing their new product and quite frankly a GPS/Radar system that doesn't work and spends most of the time back at the factory is no bloody use to anyone.

Here's a hint on what to avoid: it rhymes with ToadPilot

When (if) it works, it's great. But if you have any problems with it you're not going to be at all happy
