only ask as we are in the process of booking up for next year and one of our group seemed to think they are now / will be showers there?

Thanks!

Bleu Nord is on the right, alongside the airport perimeter fencing, it was new for 2006.

The original Bleu site has always been officially labelled Bleu Sud.

Parking Bleu used to be the whole area of unreserved parking between Bleu Sud and Parking Blanc (the numbered parking area).

As of 2006, the rear section is now the Bleu Nord camping (or 'lay-by' in ACO speak as Houx is the only 'camping' site) and the front section is still a car park.

Not a bad site, the marshals did a good job of marking you out a pitch. We arrived early so had a spot alongside the fence to the airport. It's a good compromise location being close to the circuit but right on top of things like in MB.

Wasn't there? We had the motor home to shower in (cool) but was told there was showers.
This information may have been recieved / delivered or most likely a combination of the two, whilst under the influence of alcohol.

Sorry! laugh

Nevermind, If i'm in Bleu again this year i'll know where to knock! Thinking about it, I assumed the second block was the ladies' loo... I should have been investigating!

Your joking aren't you. We marked out out pitch when no one was there and went to bed about 3 as was tired from driving down there and a little bit pissed.

Had some annoying women screaming at us at 4am that we needed to move our tent back by about half a metre. Never figured out why she was telling us to do this, she only spoke french and was taking a very english view of speak louder (but was speaking it faster).

If they had marked out properly where they wanted the roads we would have stuck to it.

Overall though, campsite was ok. Much quieter than MB or Houx Annex but if thats what you want fine. Showers were there but could have done with another couple of blocks as the q was always too big (even at 6am).

Number of times we go back from the circuit at 1am and everyone else was asleep tells you what it was like.

We're aiming for a more lively one next year but if you want to race with little entertainment except for what you make yourselves it will be fine. Great location to get to teh track too, especially the very ropey kebabs and strong smell of sewage outside the MB entrance.
