Hi all
Any BlackBerry users out there? I am tempted but would appreciate any comments from users. How easy is it to sync with Microsoft Outlook? Does it copy everything all the data fields in the contacts?
TIA

I have no problem with the sync. Just wish I didn't have to use Outlook!
Have a look further down this area on PH for more info about BB's.
BB's are great provided you buy the file management add-ons (although limited to the on-board 64 Mb memory) otherwise its a dumb email machine with an average phone. The Windows Mobile devices provide file management so you can easily store and edits files on your device that you might want to attach to an email - and you're not limited by onboard memory limitations. Unless you have e-Works on your BB (or equiv) you can't do file management and editing. I think the roaming characteristics of the BB are far superior to the Windows Mobile device based on my global Northern hemisphere experience of both (BB 8700 and Palm Treo 650) though you can't use the BB as a modem for your laptop as you can with a device such as the Treo. I've been a BB user for 3 years but I can see the time very soon when I will migrate totally to a Windows device.

What is making you look at Blackberry over a Windows Mobile device out of interest?
'Cause it's not Windows?
Fact is though that Windows Mobile 5.0 devices are far more powerful and flexible. The GUI isn't quite as good for basic PIM functions but the other benefits more than make up for it IMO.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
