It’s turned out to be an expensive month running the Gallardo, first a nice 4 inch hole in the front bumper courtesy of a black bucket and a combination of high speed, a dark motorway and a very shocked driver... which means a new front bumper, it’s one of those times when if you have to ask the price, you don’t want to know it...

Next two punctures, one in each rear tyre, which are only 1/3 worn, one nail made it right though the side wall, so 2 new rear tyres, £550

So, since a new bumper is been fitted I was considering a 3m protection just for the front bumper, not the bonnet. Views, advise, recommended company to use in Cheshire / Manchester most welcome.

Morning Simon,

You've been having a rough time of it then? Personally I dont like the protection film, you can still see it when its applied and after a few polishes it tends to leave the tell tale white lines. I guess its each to their own though.

Andy.

I can't help with installer info, but I've had clearbra on my G from day one and am very happy with it. I put it on my BMW recently too and took a big hit from a stone which tore the film but the paint was perfect and new film costs less than new paint.

I would get the bonnet done as well as the bumper - with the right installer, it can be done as as single piece with no lines showing at all. I also did the entire front guards, mirrors and sills - and the leading edge of the side vents and trailing edges of the rear guards. No-one spots the film until I show them.

My film is Ventureshield if that helps.

I had it on my G and the F before that.

Firstly, it scratches very easily but secondly although it stops a lot of minor stone chipping the others penetrate the film and it looks AWFUL, then you cant do anything with it.

Better not bother and paint it every 18 months

I've got it on my Gallardo, but TBH I'm not sure it really needs it, the Lambo paint is really good
This is in contrast to my 360 which was covered in stone chips

Anyone got a 430 who can advise me if I should get it done?
