Further to other postings, this is my first winter owning my Cerb, and fully intend to us it....however.
Last Sat I used it for work, and came out at 10.15pm, it was covered in a very hard thick frost.
Got in it ok, fine, started ok, fine, warmed it up for 15 mins, and drove very carfully along tiny icy Devon lanes, until the M5 and flew home all good.
Two questions then for the "informed".
Why did my feet never warm up, it is a good 45mins drive home, and the warmish air did come out of the vents on the top, but the one on the steering wheel and feet chucked out freezing air, i tried the hot air con, no change, is this usual, am I just being soft.
More worryingly when I got in it on Monday, under the matts on the drivers side (front only) was an inch of water, no wonder my bloody feet were cold...any ideas!!

Gotta love these cars! I've just had a similar experience last week. I've replaced the door seals now as I found a gap between the front of the door where it curves round to the cills and the seals. Run your hand along the carpet upstand at the door and you'll most probably find it wet near the emergency door pulls.
I bought both seals for each side eight metres in total from Clever Trevor. It cost about £30 in total and took a few mins to fit.
On another note its a pain in the ass trying to get all the water out! I drilled a small hole at the front of the carpet under the pedals then parked the car face down on a hill and left it to drain for a few hours before drying the rest of it out and sealing the hole back up.

Since posting I have searched the forums for leaks, and obviously thats the prob, will check it over.
Its just nice to know its not just me.
All these things don't bother me, as long as I can get in it and the 4.5 fires up, im happy, i didn't buy it to keep warm, I have a house for that!

There are 2 vents in the drivers footwell - The steering wheel and one of the one's in footwell are cold feed only and the other one (better hidden in the footwell) is for warm. On mine the hot one is the same type as mounted up by the windscreen I think, so just push the flaps (ooer) to open it up. Have a scrable around - not saying it will push out enough heat as they all seem to differ but mine manages to keep me warm quite nicely in winter.
when i got mine, it didn't get warm and i felt the lovely cold air on the feet. closed the cold air vent and opened the warm air one and magic, about 5 mins after the water temp starts moving i'm starting to get a bit too warm. I have noticed tho, if i close the dash vents, the fan sounds like it's trying to push way to much air through a tiny hole and the air pressure out of the footwell vent is not much, but it is at least there.
my door seals leak as well, though i don't have the puddle problem. My door is a bit too far back on the hinges, so i'm thinking that once i move it back (once I find the time to) it should seal a bit better

Just along from the bonnet release. I only found it a month ago!

Mine was leaking through the CLutch fluid reservoir, even though the sealant it looked OK, cchopped it all out with a Stanley knife, resealed it with Silicone Roof & Gutter sealant (B&Q) and it cured it

Dont go touching something you shouldnt, it'l fall off!
Since the first post, the leaking has stopped, and I have nice toasty toes, just by shutting the two vents on the dash, I didn't touch anything else....I am wondering if it has anything to do with turning the aircon on for the first time since I bought the car, or the amount of ice it was covered in?
I have wrapped it up outside my house in a warm car cover now, all snug!
Is it me, why do people put TVR's to hibernate? I thought the current models were all made in Blackpool? The weather up there is much worse than down here in the English Riviera!
If I had an Italian sports can I would put in in a heated room from Oct - May, but these beautys are English, come on!!
