Screen Washer

Hi Guys,

My Griff (96N plate) has developed an unusual tendency when attempting to wash the screen, it squirts the passers by on the pavement via the hole on top of the bulkhead behind the nearside wiper blade. The wipers have got black washer tubes clipped to them and the nearside one has a kink in it so not allowing water through. The drivers side tube does not appear obstructed but no water passes through either.While I am sure that you all congratulate me for using the beast during these inclement weather days,it makes driving entertaining to say the least with no screenwashers. Can anyone tell me if I appear to have a std (TVR) or someones modded system and also ways to rectify it.Any help will be much appreciated.

you can clean out the piping that is on the wiper arms with a straightened out metal coat hanger - if that helps.

Save yourself a lot of aggro and get the Leven wash/wipe kit.
I fitted this to my Chim and the improvement is vast. Cost was about £30-£35 IIRC, took 1/2 hour to fit, car now has washers and wipers that actually work

Thanks for the link to Leven. They seem to have a very comprehensive catalogue of goodies.Plenty for the christmas stocking.The wash system looks to be a big improvement in design to the std one which I appear to have.

ah - forgot about that - just ordered the compete kit £52.12 inc VAT and delivery (non in stock just at the mo - but should have by end of the week).
