Tyres...........again

I asked the same question and got zilch in the way of responce so I recently purchased Vredestein Sportrac 3's. They came highly reccomended from a small tyre company called AJS in Stevenage, the owner is someone I trust and has been in the business for 20+ years. his view was that most tyres in the 205/60/15 size are too heavy and are designed for larger saloon's. He put three possibles on the table. Bridgstone RE720, Falken ZE 512 and these. His opinion was RE720's old design bit heavy, 512's cheaper and a bit basic would lack in the Summer. The sportrac's were mid price and have a sport pattern.

Obviously that would be plus fiiting, balance and disposal.
Early days as only fitted on Monday and only drove the car home but first impressions were good. Herts and Beds have a meet on Sunday, so the car will get a run out. Will post again then.

Out of curiosity does anyone run Goodyear S03s on an V8S and how have they found them, as my new one has all four corners booted with them.

Bridgestons S03 or Goodyear F1 surely
I have a set of both and a set of S02 and a set of Re720 (yes i have 16 wheels)
What size wheels have you got Rob if its 16 inch and your running F1 tyres you might find them a bit soft on the rears although ive had no probs.The S03's should be perfect on a 15 inch wheel

I've got F1 NCT2's all round, running 15" front & 16" rear on ex-Griff OZ split rims on my V8S.
They are fine and have a good wear rate too - put 15,000 miles on them in 17 months, would only get sub-10,000 on previously fitted RE71's and they would need changing at least every year. Haven't had any issues really. Would re-fit all round when the mn time comes if still available.

Another alternative is the YOKOHAMA A048 or A032.

Had AO48 on my Westfield awesome in the dry, dangerous in the wet. I dont think the A032 are available any more and I dont think the A048's are available in a 205/60/15. Polley Motorsport for supply if they are but I dont think so.
