Im trying to work out what size and type of wheel to go with for the cerb. Im struggling to find anything! Any ideas?? I will probably stick with an 18" rim.
For racing! not for looks!

I'd go for 17's more choice and cheaper tyres.

Not sure the low profile would be that good for track work would it?

Tyres are the same price. Tuscan racers run on 18's?? The only problem is finding what size(width) wheel i can get under the cerb.

Looking at it from a very different perspective. These are for a race car. Most of them wouldnt be strong enough.

IIRC hes chosen to go with SP12's and will be running something like 265's at the back.

If you're looking at the SP wheels, it's also worth looking at the Work Wheels through ACT - gives you a 17" option, further reducing weight and opening up the tyre choices Ridds mentioned.

The Compomotive MO is an excellent get-out-of-jail card kind of wheel. A good strong wheel - and you can get it in just about any size and offset. If you need something oddball in small quantities (which race teams often do), the MO is pretty much the default option which is why you see them on so many privateers' cars. They can be pricey and the finish is generally "adequate for motorsport" rather than to road car/showroom standard.

For racing I wouldn't entertain anything other than an 18" wheel, not least because you could use Tuscan Challenge rubber (or a wide range of street rubber, depending on the regs). Compared with 'clubmans' quality wets, driving on Challenge wets is like being in another race. Great slicks from Dunlop too. To run this rubber all round on a Cerbera, you'd need to make some modifications to the front bodywork.

You could get a *slightly oddball* set of SP12s that would enable this - another TVR race team has already gone this route (not on a Cerbera).

we have to run dunlops. So yes the tuscan rubber is an option. was thinking of getting 9x18's on the back with 8x18's on the front.

Any other good wheels in these kind of sizes phil? Speedline??

Nobody else offers wheels in the specs you need (Speedline, OZ, BBS..) unless you order large quantities.

Motorsport Wheels offer the OZ wheels in a couple of styles in this spec. I only know as this is what I was originally going to have before I got mine done.

References to "this spec" may be ambiguous... I mentioned Challenge Tuscan wheels which are very low offset and will only work on Mike's Cerbera if he modifies the uprights/geometry to suit. OZ's are available in "this spec" along with a few others.
