And it needs to be!

Due to my rather exacting spec. it looks like I'm in for a 3 months wait for my 'stang. Still, the order's in, so I guess I'll just have to find something else to amuse me in the meantime

Like researching all those performance mods

Said a sad farewell to the Can-Am today, but had the order on the Mustang in within 5 mins of it leaving hehe

I'll try to refrain from wasting bandwidth with my excited outpourings as I wait for delivery yes

At least the worst of the weather should be out of the way by the time you get it.

So, c'mon then. Give us the full spec you've ordered

Here you go

Mustang GT Premium Coupe in Black clearcoat
4.6L V8
5-Speed Manual transmission
Black/Dove leather interior

Options:
Interior upgrade
GT California Special
GT Appearance pack
Comfort Group

Locking wheelnuts
Front seat side mounted airbags
Shaker 500
Woven Charcoal Aluminium instrumnent panel applique

The lack of satellite radio (pointless here in the UK) and 3.55 diff (short diff - no thanks) makes the spec. harder to find, so it looks as if its special order only.

Never mind, nice to think that the car will be built for me I s'pose

Awesome. You'll love it. It's just such a good all-round car for the money!

Thanks Darren. I wouldn't park yours up near me though, or I'll have those wheels of it before you can blink - love them!

Am going to be ordering a handling pack (probably the Ford Racing one) as well as the exhausts and X-pipe. That should help things along too

Then no doubt, a blower will soon follow. I had it in my head that I didn't want another 'charger, but after seeing the Clarkson vids on YouTube yesterday - I think I'm in love with forced induction again

Congrats on your order, I know the feeling only too well. I ordered mine in Nov 04, it was built on Jan 24th & I picked it up from Felixstowe in April 05.

Good luck & look forward to seeing the pics soon.

Stig, the 2005 and 2006 Mustang manuals come with the 3.55 diff as stock. The 2007 has it as an option and gets the old auto ratio as stock. If you're staying stock, it's worth having or you'll be slower off the line. If you're going to supercharge it then the touring ratio is probably better. Bear in mind the Mustangs in the US immediately go out and ft 4.10s for drag racing.

I agree with the satellite radio though which they're really plugging.

The car sounds great. Looking forward to pics.

Thanks chap - so the '07 manual comes with a 3.31 as standard now? I'd prefer the longer legs for cruising and 'economy' hehe. Given that any 'hard' driving will be done on track, not the dragstrip, the shorter ratio doesn't really make sense to me. That said, it seems to be specced on every GT/CS out there at the moment - hence the special order.

Still can't get an answer on whether the satellite radio antenna can be removed without leaving a hole in the bootlid? I would imagine it would unless it's wireless!!!
