Kimi Raikkonen has been urged by his new Ferrari bosses to ensure his private off-track exploits do not become public next year.
After five years with McLaren, Raikkonen fills the considerable void at Ferrari left by Michael Schumacher following the seven-times world champion's recent retirement and Ferrari chief executive Jean Todt insists the Finn must now conduct his private life appropriately.
"The Finns like to drink from time to time," said Todt in French newspaper Le Figaro. "Raikkonen will be much more visible at Ferrari, and he will be given a lot of attention and much affection. But if he wants to clink glasses with his friends, then we will ask him to do it discretely."
Allaying the speculation that surrounds Raikkonen, Todt believes the 27-year-old's ability is what counts.
