hi new member to piston heads here !, wondering if anyone can help with a chim front screen, either where to buy cheap, or an alternative parts number or some clever idea to prevent me having to pay £500.00 (autoglass quote), I have bought my chim with a front end dent and a cracked screen fron a salvage company, got a new front end from Bell Hill in Bristol who were superb, but can't find a clever way to get hold of of a screen, any help much appreciated.

Have you insured the car? If so, just claim on your insurance ... you'll only have to pay the excess and it won't affect your no claims - BUT, don't get any old place to do it - say you want it done at a TVR garage as these household names - Autoglass etc are notorious for messing up the interior and the material around where the dashboard meet the screen. If they insist that AG do it - watch the guy like a hawk and tell him if he buggers it, he'll pay for it.
Then you can get a new interior out of AG with any luck cos they WILL bugger it.
