Hello,
I have an Epson C42 UX which hasn't been used since sometime in 2003 so I'm assuming the ink will be well past its date and dried up (I think one cartridge is one of the 90 day ones from when I first got it). Is the printer useable or shall I consign it to the scrapheap?
Thanks
Lex

Epson print heads cannot be replaced - they are fixed to the machine so if they get clogged you need a new machine. That said, why not plug it in and give it a try? Some new inks and a couple of heads cleans and you might be fine.

Can't think of the name of the stuff now it' something like Injet head cleaner..you can get them from places that sell refill kits for cartridges. Soak this into the heads fit some cheapy cart's and start head cleaning. It will work I've done it many times on printers found in the back of store cupboards.
