web site changes: monitoring

[Leftie]

Anybody know who to monitor web sites for changes without constantly refreshing?

Today i have been waiting for professionakl exam results, and for a sale to start, and have been like a fiddlers elbow to this PC. Can you set something up to email you hwe a site changes?

Not quite the answer you want but you can download an extention to Firefox that will constantly refresh a page. You could set it up on a free screen and just flick your eyes over it every now and again?

This might do it:
www.markwell.btinternet.co.uk/webmon/

I have never seen nor heard of this utility before now
I remember some firm during the internet bubble did "we'll e-mail you when a site changes" and were around for quite a number of years before vanishing... robomon? robosite? sitemonitor? Something like that anyway.

Many thanks, I ended up refreshing every 10 minutes but next time I will try that.
