Alarm is way TOO sensitive
Discussion
I am sure this has been mentioned before but I've done a serach and turned up nothing.
Chim N reg 95 - Foxguard alarm.
If I park t int garage as usual - no problem.
If I park it in layby outside house on the road - busy village, every big lorry that thunders through sets the alarm off. Vibrations, wind drag etc.
I remember I think that you can change the sensitivity setting of the alarm if it goes off too easily, so that it errr.... doesn't go off too easily.
Any help appreciated. as I'm getting knackered rushing to the kitchen window to check it's not being nicked.

Often wondered about this. I locked mine up once but left my sunglasses in there, so lent in (roof was down) picked them up and it never batted an eyelid.
So where is the actual sensor. I'm guessing there must be something that pings out microwaves? a bit like in normal cars, with the little things that look like speakers at the top of the A-Post.
I'm stopping now before I embarass myself further!

Thanks T/.
Vaguely remember in another thread it being mentioned which way to turn it - trial and error I suppose!
Thanks all.

I believe (from another recent thread) it takes about 30 seconds from setting to be fully armed...
Hmm...It was last summer. Perhaps I'll experiment this year - late at night, that should upset the idiot over the road who goes to work a 7am 7 days a week and wakes every bugger up.
Cheers.
