4.2 engine box and full gubbins worth what?

Totally agree, the damaged parts are scrap, pure and simple, and the salvagable parts are worth whatever someone is willing to pay. For example I had no choice but to pay TVR Power £250 for a set of 4.2 intakes because I needed the throttles and I just could not get them cheaper anywhere else. Having said that a pair went on ebay for £70ish, but sods law says its never on ebay when you need it.
If you are willing to wait indefinitely you might be able to make some money, but most people, like me, will always try to aquire parts from the cheapest source so pricing it high may mean people don't bother.

As someone who has done the LS into a Cerbera, I would hold onto the T5 and bellhousing, clutch etc as you may find that using them is the easiest/only way to do the engine transplant without major surgery. The T5 can be strengthened upto 800lb/ft for far less than the cost of a Tk600 which will require different remotes, bellhousing etc etc that probably won't fit.
Julian, I have a spare set of 4.2 intakes in the garage, no longer needed. I bought them from TVR Power a week ago to try to solve my 'one cylinder sucking in more air at idle' problem, but it made no difference and so I've concluded the tappet is out of adjustment on that cylinder and my intakes were fine. Paid £250 for them, but will let them go for £100 to the first person that wants them.
