A few have been wandering how the projects going and any ideas of when she'll hit the roads.
We've had 2 major setbacks, both to do with the pistons being supplied through the old tuner being wrong.
But anyway, like always, onwards and upwards.
Pauls working on these things currently in parallel:
a) New CNC billet bottom end girdle
b) Custom dry sump pan for 6-stage pump
c) Chrome-molly chassis subframe for engine-gearbox-differential and wishbone linkage.
d) New alloy front engine timing gear cover (as engine is taller than before)
e) Paul is under discussions with a specialist company for the very special fluid damper for the crank.
f) The new cooling system with the support of some big boys
The eta at this time is mid feb for engine completion and testing, if everything goes ok then the blower will be added to the plumbing with associated custom fuelling / ignition / cooling gear and the boost will be slowy winded up through rigourous testing.
Hopefully, if things go to plan (and so far they havent been, but out of our control), March will see a 1000+hp engine on the dyno, and alongside in parallel the chassis will be ready to take the engine immediatly.
From March to April, chassis dynamics tuning and further bodywork mods for a few extra special things.
By May, I'll be skint and eating out of tin beans, but the Phoenix should be ready for public exposure.
This is the plan, probably will happen sooner, as long as things work as they're intended.
