Can anyone confirm the part number for a genuine TVR screen for me, as I have a possible lead on one at last, but need to confirm that it's the correct one.

This one is TVR badged (on the left-hand side), with two numbers "43R-00006" and "DOT 17-M163-AS1".

Many thanks - I could have my beloved S back soon

Hmm, what to do.

It's supposed to be a Tuscan racer screen that has been found, top condition as it's been stored for many years. The dealership were pretty sure that Tuscan's and S's used the same screen, and called the factory who confirmed

It's a clear screen though with no top band, so perhaps the differences in the code is this?

Looking at my old picture my screen was not banded, and was either clear or a very pale green, I'm gonna see if I can zoom in well enough to confirm those numbers.

Thanks shnozz for having a look though, out of curiosity what colour is your screen?

Just managed to zoom in enought on what of the set of pre-removal picture's I've done (always wondered what use the zoom feature on my digicam was, now I know!), got a clear image of it, and it's very close, being:

43R-00006
DOT 17-M161-AS1

as this one is only different by the "M163" I reckon it's a goer

Thankfully, after almost two months its now all sorted, and what turned out to be a light green tinted screen is now fitted neatly to my motor.

The screen was hidden away at Walldonway, as it was for a Tuscan racer from the days when they had a team, it's gathered some dust inbetween but is otherwise fine.

Will be out and about properly on Thursday with a large grin

Isn't the S screen the same as a Griff?
Paul.

Autoglass do TVR screens. In fact my S had one of theirs.

I just an autoglass screen fitted last week. They`re on their system as Griffith S Tourer.
Green tint, next day service, £50 on the insurance.
Everyone`s a winner.

tvr has screens in stock unfortunately they have all delaminated due to being left outside so the official answer is no factory screens might be worth someone looking through them to see if they have any good ones

Autoglass have seemed to be Ok from what I've heard, Ted has one of their screens.

However when I called the branch that did Ted's they reported the same part number as the one that didn't fit mine..

I'd heard this as well, but having spoken to a number of dealers I decided against them, besides, delamination is one of the reasons I replaced mine in the first place.
