TonyF's car on the Dyno
Discussion
TonyF had his car on the Dyno recently - he asked me to post up the results
it was not making the proper power you would expect from a M400 - a good one makes approx 380 bhp
he went from 343 to 375 (370 lb/ft of torque) with a fuel pump and a good set up at Gary's !!
Tony - how does the car feel now ?

Mike, car is still hesitant at the top end I presume it requires a mapping session at garys soon ?

At the wheel figure was 305.8 bhp, the car does feel a bit hesitant at the top end on acceleration though! Mike says that these figures are about bang on for a standard M400. Obviously my next visit to garys will be for a good mapping session.
Can I suggest you talk to Roush instead. That doesn't sound "normal" at all. Remember mine made 355 at the wheel (dotted green line) after 10000 miles, normal servicing, no changes.
Being over 50bhp down on that cannot be normal, whatever anyone says.
The Roush exhaust (again, no mapping changes) changed that to 385 at the wheel.

Joust - being from the Dyno industry I can tell you that there are some rather optimisitc Dyno's out there
I suggest you get you car tested elsewhere to compare your figures
shootout mode means the results can not be interfered with by the operator and the car will make exactly the same power every time on every Dyno
380 bhp is about what an average m400 makes - maybe the factory have been sending them out on lower power for some reason ?

Mike the rolling road/dyno that Justin's car was tested on is reliable and proven accurate and reads about 3% behind Garys. As far as Tony's car is concerned i'd be doing a compression test.
