I plugged in my USB flash drive last night, which I have done many times with no problem, and the Found New Hardware wizard came up and got stuck in loop that I could only get out of by Ctl, Alt Del.

Now the PC is looking for all the USB plug in but instead of finding them the Found New Hardware Wizard keeps appearing but just flashes stuck in a loop.

Not sure that explains it clearly but HELP!!

You need to check the drivers for the USB hub in device manager - probably easiest to download and install the latest drivers.

Click start > Right click My Computer > click properties > click Hardware > click Device Manager

Go down the list to the bottom where it says "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" click the + on the left. Now right click and click uninstall on all of the items under this category until all have gone and restart the PC.

When the PC has started back up it will come up found new hardware in the bottom right as long as no windows pop up asking for you to click next then these will install by themselves so leave for about 10minutes.

Once all installed try inserting your device again.

However if it does ask for drivers after you restart you may need to look at the model of your motherboard and download the chipset drivers.
