Hi, Camp site's are located at Glen Vine,Greeba Bridge*,Hillberry* plus various others.
(* Close to pubs). You will find there will be lots of camp sites at the 2007 TT.
You would find it handy to get information from the IOM tourist information office regarding camp sites.
There is already concern where every body is going to stay next year and even getting over for the TT is going to be very difficult.
You must make the effort if you can, next year will be a unmissable event. The whole place is bike crazy and next year will be fantastic.
If you stuggle to get over on the dates avalible to you i will be offering a service where you get your bike to the boat put it on unacompanied say a week or so early i will collect it IOM side and store it untill you can arrange ferry or flight.
I will also return the bike to the ferry after the event. You could post your riding gear over or bring it with you. Collecting you on arrival can also be arranged. Price to be arranged.
Let me know if i can help you & others.
Regards
Paul

This year will be the 5th time I've gone over and got the Vette booked again - heading over for practice week with my old fella and then having race week with a few mates.
I've got a house sorted for race week which has some space available, off road parking and is in Onchan just down from Signpost and Govenors. At the moment the IoM ferry stuff is deposit only booking, once they send out balance requests you should find a few folk will bail and the spaces become available.
Good luck with bookings, for anyone who gets booked and fancies a bed rather than a tent let me know.

It will be very, very busy this year as its the 100th so lots of people from USA etc coming across....book your crossing now or swimming could be your only option. Most of the hotels well booked by now and those that aern't are charging double but even those will fill. Campsites are fine but be wary of the one down from the creg as a mate of mine stayed there and it was overun with mad pished irish lads with a perchant for holding an R1 on the rev limiter at 4 a.m!
Homestay available all over try IOM gov site or IOM TT site
bushys is the best beer
and it is without doubt one of the finest things to experience....just don't try to keep up with someone on manx plates on mad sunday!

Nice vette, I'll keep an eye out for ya.
Getting more excited about this than Le Mans at the moment! Seeing Rutter return, Plater debut and MV return is going to make this something very special indeed.
The plans for race week look awesome aswell. They're expecting 20,000+ each night on the prom and have moved the displays up to the Villa away from Busheys. Honda are having the 'Honda day in Peel', Suzuki are having a 'Suzuki Sunday' in Castletown and then there's the 'Yamsey Festival' in Ramsey aswell. The Pre-TT Classics are also a favourite on the Billown circuit over the bank holiday Monday and this year there's the 1907 TT re-enacment on St Johns. Too much for 2 weeks!
Think I'll have to go hunt down the pictures from last year to enjoy while I watch the 2004 dvd again!

The TT is a race I've always wanted to visit. A few of my friends are taking a boat over, they've done it a few times, and they've asked if I'd like to join them. I've just got to get time off from work, which will be tricky. My rides an old '88 TT bike, and I've always followed the races, so it would be great to go. I'd love to see the MV in action there.

If they're offering ferry tickets and accomodation then you've GOT to go! There's so many folk that are struggling to get across to the island and find a bed that if it's offered, I'd take it. Seeing the MV, Rutter, Plater, McGuiness and Molly again...plus the legends is too good an opportunity.
Check out

you'll love the island!
take care and watch out for the mad germans and dutch.
Enjoy!

The house I've got is now full up and includes one of these "mad Germans". Apparently he's called Frank, comes from Bremen and is 6ft 7! God help us!
I noticed on my last visit that the complete nutter who had a complete " No fear , brain out" attitude, who always managed to stick it up the inside at every bend and caused you to spend more time worrying where he was and what he was doing than where you were riding (and this was not in the race) always seemed to have a D or NL on his plate!
they were the sort who made you and your mates watch them go by and just cringe with the expectation of tears to follow soon but were very entertaining to watch from a safe distance.
I wonder if it was frank?
If it was tell him he's barkin' mad!!

As far as I know it was all booked and sorted out last year, but one of the guys had to cancel. So there's a spare place for me(or another mate if I can't go), if I can make it. Lol, I watched last years races on DVD when I got home last night after this thread and thinking about going.

Oh man, you've got to go! I've done practice week for 4 years but going to stay for race week for the Centenary. It's going to be awesome - 2 weeks on the island following by the road to Le Mans. Snap your mates hand off and get the time off sorted, you won't regret it.
I'm booked up, went in 2001 after the foot and mouth, got 3 vans bikes in back, can not wait! Last time we went stayed in a campsite overlooking Sulby Straight, you can have a beer and watch them come past 2 feet away from you at 200mph, fastest part of the circuit, where Mcguiness was clocked at 200+
Amazing
