Stolen from my Subaru this evening:
- Blue/Grey Chicane Race Suit
(With my name & blood-type on the waist-strap so probably cut off)
- Blue gloves
- Grey Shoei helmet

If anyone sees these for sale please let me know or obtain a bloodsample from the vendor for me.

Also camera gear, memory cards, spectacles, radar detector etc that will never be seen again.

The toe-rags punched the locks, wrenched the handles, and broke the window with a parking restriction sign. Presumably the same sign the parking warden referred to when giving me the ticket.

Who knew one window could produce so many tiny shards of glass?

They didn't however take the espresso machine in the boot so I can stay up all night swearing while vacuuming the interior.

Very very gutted mate

It's happened to me so very many times in the past and it doesn't really hurt any less when it happens to a friend Will certainly keep an eye out for your gear, although you'd hope they won't be stupid enough to try and shift it through the more public channels.

Was your car left at work or outside at home? That sucks I hope you get get your gear back real soon. Even though you proabably have it covered with your insurance, its still a real hassle having to sort it all out ! We had some young nosey neighbours drive up our ROW not long after we moved in where we live now and these guys had a right decent perve in our garage once from their car. Thankfully we were both in there pottering to eyeball them point at them and write the plate no down just in case. These scrotes are everywhere.

It was in an underground carpark in Takapuna. Only ever had two theft-ex-car experiences myself. The other was a few spaces away with similar damage.

After the last incident (which was by then the 4th in 18 months) we were assured that cameras and suitably discouraging signage would be installed. IMHO one of the big problems is that they don't warn & toss out idiots who have the sensitivity of their alarms set too high. There are 3 cars in particular, closer to the ramp, whose alarms go off every second time I drive past. banghead

Been moving offices so had more stuff in the car than usual including a lot of drycleaning (2 suits & 4 pairs of trousers which were left).

Was any of it visible from outside the car?

Had my home made boom box nicked out of the back of the work car once, which was parked on my front lawn, with an alarm fitted.

Sadly the alarm lacked a cavity microwave sensor, so they just cut out the back windscreen...

There's crim's pretty much anywhere, a good suburb is no safer than a rougher one in terms of car theft...

Interestingly, people park their Porsche on the street overnight where I live now...

Sorry to hear that Graham. Often it's not the items but the inconvenience that is more annoying. It's what puts me off owning GTR/EVO/WRX etc and the attitude that if you own one and are young then your a "boy racer". We have DVR camera systems at both our shops and it's so rewarding when I catch attempted breakins on camera and the cops go round and pay the crims a visit!

Hope you get it all sorted with minimal fuss

Interestingly enough most of our burgs have been youths, drunk/stoned/wasted, looking for food.
