Looking for advice on a car I'm about to buy. I've put down a deposit on this seal grey 3.6 C2 targa with 27,000 miles. I've been looking for a while but took the plunge last Saturday at Portiacraft and put a deposit down. Perhaps asking a little late on, but is there someone out there you can recommend who can look over it to give it a detailed report?

Take it to a Porsche dealer, get the 111 point check done for £200.

If it passes, then you can have the Porsche warranty. Get Portiacraft to knock this off the price, or at least make a decent contribution.

Or Peter Morgan could give it the once over, hes pretty thorough, although if you get Porsche to do it you can get the warranty so probably the best bet

Thanks. and having read Vesuvius' blog, it seems the warranty pays for itself several times over.
A novice question: will getting a warranty be impacted by 3 of the 4 service stamps being specialist (ie non OPC) dealers only?

No, as long as it passes the inspection, you get the warranty from then on.

Buyer beware. These monkeys have been taken to court by more than one disgruntled customer.

Ask them or find out how many times they have changed the Limited Company that uses their trading name in the last few years to get an idea as to how long they have been established....!
